it was refreshing good to get out of town for a bit uh see some people was good man we had the lowjack on You Austin Texas La Austin Texas La was around was in town using some comps here for in the middle of the week last week so that was good little Resorts World stayed there for a couple nights oh did you little station little station yeah bounced around was all over the place pin doing vacation awesome though I that that was Austin is great great City Austin I had a lot of fun itā€™s this just in secret Austin hotter than hell though hotter than hell a little humidity there yeah like this itā€™s like itā€™s like Vegas Miami combined for the worst possible things I prefer humidity over this dry heat it was like it was like 99 100 degrees with I donā€™t know what percentage humidity that was so sweaty it was disgusting uh it is July 1 and as a almost a tribute to July we have two guests uh we have Mark borchard on baseball we have D cuff on soccer everybody else told us to go kick rocks so uh Kelly and I but we have plenty to talk about beginning with um baseball obviously weā€™re going to get to this uh this June bet momentarily later on the show Iā€™ll have the most wins in the month of July my pick for the most wins in the month of July uh Wimbledon plays that remain coming up as well Wimbledon Futures whole bunch to talk about we do begin though with uh a big congratulations from me to everybody who rode along and it was a lot of you on the Houston Astros most winds market for the month of June masle to to us all we deserve it after what we went through a couple months ago particularly one out away from cashing a 65 to one on the Guardians falling two games shy on the Guardians in May at 16 to1 but the Astros at 25 to1 at uh at William Hill Caesars is ends up dead heating with the Orioles but itā€™s an outright win at circuit at 17 to1 what a day yesterday was uh Kelly it was what a weekend it was the weekend started we why and I talked about this Friday weend started with okay if the Astros go 3 and0 we win at Circa at worst as a dead Heat at William Hill Caesars but if they go one and two or 0 and three weā€™re out weā€™re done against the Mets who by the way these same exact scenarios applied to the Mets um going into the weekend if the if the Astros ended up going two and one thatā€™s where it got interesting because at that point then the Dodgers and the Orioles couldnā€™t do better than two in one neither could sweep and then you had five other teams that if they went 3 and0 would participate in a dead heat as well talking about the Red Sox the Mariners the Brewers the Diamondbacks and the Cardinals and good God if you dead heat but with more than one team whatā€™s the Whatā€™s even the point of any of it itā€™s just so egregious so what happens Friday night this is how it starts the Astros go out leave 14 men on base go two of 14 with runners in scoring position bregman boots a ball three unearned runs on a mcneel home run they get smoked by the Mets had every opportunity of the world and Iā€™m thinking to myself self this cannot be happening again how do you have 14 men on base two of 14 motherā€™s in scoring position worst possible timing for that kind of uh for uh that kind of night and so our proverbial back was against the wall right from Friday night on silver lining of the night was quietly while that was happening the Dbacks lost the Red Sox lost the Dodgers lost so a couple of the Dead heater sort of sloughed off next day framber Valdez is on the mound and he just has a meltdown and the the Mets go out to a five to a 5 to one lead after two 6 to one after three and youā€™re thinking to yourself okay well maybe itā€™s just the Mets month we gave it another good run thatā€™s going to fall short but it was early in the game right it was early so there was still plenty of time to come back and come back the Astros did three in the fourth three in the eth on a series of spectacular at bats by the Astros culminating with Alex bregman atoning for his sin the previous night with the boot he just has this unbelievable at bat where he he fights back from 0 and2 an 02 count and ends up with the two RBI single um turning a six to5 deficit into a 7 to6 Astros lead and they go on to Win It 9-6 and suddenly we are off life support and there is life and then also quietly Mariners lose Brewers lose Cardinals lose so all the dead heaters are sloughing off again on a second consecutive day with one notable exception two notable exceptions one the Dodge who the Giants were about to beat again Bases Loaded one out in a tie game and Extra Innings but then the Giants struck out and then fouled out and the Dodgers just made him pay for it with a touchdown in the top of the 11 they won it 14 to7 and the even more notable exception was the Orioles just absolutely staved off the Rangers held on for dear life won that game so the Orioles were the only team of all the teams I mentioned through Saturday that went 2 and0 what did that mean that meant that going into Sunday it was very clear we needed an Astros win and an Orioles loss to win outright at Circa to have a dead Heat at William Hill Caesar only the Dodgers could have participated in the Dead Heat as well if they beat the Giants on Sunday and the way it was laid out Kelly was perfect in terms of the schedule which we could not have anticipated which was Astros Mets in the morning right Giants Dodgers as a sort of lunchtime game in the middle and then the Orioles and the Rangers happened to be Sunday Night Baseball well that was perfect setup you get possibly hedge later or something who knows so Iā€™m not a hedger by nature but I thought to myself okay well I have a couple opportunities to think about a hedge during this day all right game starts um great plan going into the day great plan by the way on Friday I also mentioned at the end of the segment with W Iā€™m like oh by the way thereā€™s a little rain in the forecast for Sunday just keep an eye on that right all right so first thing happens the Mets put out kind of a semi faka lineup cish um itā€™s itā€™s not really their best lineup 53 through eight so Iā€™m like well Iā€™m not hedging here Iā€™m not going to do that against a vck the lineup Astros go up four to nothing and weā€™re like okay this is awesome bets get two in the sixth then two in the seventh on a two out 02 pitch Brandon Nemo Parks a two-run homer and itā€™s 4 to four and Iā€™m like this cannot be happening again come on come on gambling Gods come on we deserve this 4 to four middle of the 9th remember that rain the rain comes 2 hour 47 minute delay now think about this delay why itā€™s agonizing not only is because this huge bet is on the line but you know the whole time that when the rain delay happened middle of the 9th that in order to have a chance to win the game you still have to get through the bottom of the ninth so youā€™re at a big disadvantage and oh by the way Josh hater had been warming up your closer so in the back of your mind you didnā€™t want to acknowledge it youā€™re like oh no they not going to be able to use him also so youā€™re just like this is awful by the way probably the funniest moment of the 2hour 47 minute delay is this guy over here on my right he doesnā€™t know this but Kelly bidin who was still kind of like coming back from vacation mode heā€™s sort of like hey Gil uh Iā€™m Iā€™m just you know Iā€™m just sort of getting ready for tomorrowā€™s show have you looked at this rocket mortgage leaderboard I mean it is crazy and Iā€™m just like oh no I havenā€™t Kelly but yeah wow thatā€™s thatā€™s pretty great you know what I didnā€™t I didnā€™t want to address the baseball game yet because I KN I actually didnā€™t know it was in the delay like wow this is what a leaderboard you should re oh my God so Iā€™m just Iā€™m done laughing DS deor song fashion styles what are you laughing Iā€™m like no you wouldnā€™t understand never mind so by the way um I was thinking the worst possible for you I was like this is going to get theyā€™re going to push it to tomorrow or something I have no idea how the books handle that oh no it wouldnā€™t count and by the way the Astros could not could not have done that cuz the because the Mets would have won on the first tiebreaker of fewest wins with the same amount of wins fewest losses pardon me with the same amount of wins thatā€™s the first tiebreaker at Circa okay while this is happening um Iā€™m so preoccupied I forget the Giants game starts Giants go up one to nothing then three to nothing then four to nothing itā€™s nine to nothing by the end of the fourth so the Giants are sloughing off the Dodgers too for us they end up winning 10 to four easy peasy um and then Iā€™m thinking to myself God if the if the Astros donā€™t win this what a missed opportunity because all the dead heaters left with the exception of the Orioles we can win out right at Circa we can Dead Heat with just the Orioles uh at William Hill Cesar youā€™re scared of the resumption of the game youā€™re even more scared of the lack of the resumption of the game so finally it resumes two hours and 47 minutes Astros go down one two3 um itā€™s itā€™s not Bader itā€™s not hater by the way itā€™s Taylor Scott and he does it then the Astros go up five to four in the 10th but opening a a lead off double RBI double for the Mets in the bottom of the 10th itā€™s five to five nobody out man on second the in-game line is the Mets are minus 720 and somehow somehow fate shined on us JD Martinez strikes out after the intentional walk to Alonzo Harrison Bader grounds out Runners at second and third a wild pitcher a b will beat you dying Mark Vientos grounds out sweet Lord Almighty this might happen top of the 11th just like the Dodgers made the Giants pay for it like the day before in Extra Innings then the Giants intentionally excuse me the uh the Mets intentionally walk yordon just like the Giants the day before started that horrible seven inning barrage by intentionally walking sh not saying they shouldnā€™t have but yonā€™s on first runers at first and second Diaz single Meyers single another single it goes to Bases Loaded to six to five to 8 to five three batters later RBI double from uh Trey cabbage 10 uh 10 to five itā€™s over Astros win by the same score except for the fact that now that weā€™ve gotten through that chicanery we beat the Mets we beat the rain oh no now the Orioles have to lose the gameā€™s already started just like I forgot that the Giants game started I was so wrapped up in this that the Rangers game started itā€™s scoreless after first should I hedge uh I havenā€™t hedged yet Iā€™m not a hedger Iā€™m not going to hedge then the uh the Rangers go up two to nothing then two to one well I should probably hedge here right before I get a chance the inning starts the Rangers go up five to one I by by the way when they rep one two to one I looked for a plus one and a half on the Orioles so I could drive both didnā€™t exist offshore I was in California didnā€™t exist it was just a plus one so I didnā€™t do it then they go up five to two the Orioles are plus $3 um I didnā€™t do it then cuz I hadnā€™t done it at any point why should I Wyatt Langford started that three-run uh barrage with a triple he later doubled in another three-run bar barrage to make it 8 to2 then he hit a three- run Homer he hit for the cycle Rangers cruised we win congratulations to all I got my July play coming up later July most wins Iā€™m doing it Iā€™m diving it again itā€™s a numbers game at feast in the sports betting Network a numbers game on VN the sports betting network with our all new NFL betting there we got to talk about that later uh okay before we uh before we uh get to Bard and and just show the final standings of June for for most wins I have uh itā€™s first day of Wimbledon over there in London and uh I had six plays von.com slpi every host every guest every sport all our picks at von.com picks for subscribers um six plays in all um one lost this morning the first one lost Christian Garen so thatā€™s thatā€™s over five well now itā€™s four because Sebastian ofner who I have at plus 115 just started so four remain four remain uh on the menā€™s side what remains is Liam Brody I have Liam Brody whoā€™s going to be playing in front of the home crowd have him at plus 142 heā€™s taking on botic vanan schul these were on the P page about not quite 24 hours ago but middle of the day yesterday so Brody plus 142 is the number where I gave it out heā€™s still a dog in this against van desan schul um on the ladyā€™s side aise aise minus 128 uh avise is taking on Clara barell that should start momentarily Iā€™m going to check on all these lines here momentarily and then we have two plays in one match our girl Dion parie the French woman sheā€™s taking on Naomi Osaka everybody is all over Osaka because of how she uh took EA to the brink at the French Open um I said the big thing after that was no Naomi at the US openā€™s going to be a thing but I donā€™t know that she will be at Wimbledon and I think Deon parie spelled Diane Perry Kelly I think she gives Osaka a run for the money not only do I have it over 21 and a half games but Iā€™ve got par at plus 305 to beat Osaka outright in an upset at Wimbledon today so four more plays for um and just uh sort of checking forall play Dian at plus 310 now okay so even better even better um Liam Brody is at draft Yeah so a little worse Iā€™d still play it and then evise uh I got minus 128 and evise is at whereā€™s she at right now I donā€™t know where I canā€™t find her but sheā€™s around there somewhere did her match get pushed back or something uh minus 140 there you go oh well okay okay sheā€™s probably donā€™t donā€™t play it higher than that in fact minus 140 might be out of pocket I donā€™t think so says today uh says starts in 20 minutes okay thatā€™s why itā€™s off the board is about to start okay the big news by the way on the lady side Arena sabalenka pulled out and weā€™ll get to my Wimbledon Futures that yeah that I made over the weekend because there was Rumblings that she was completely hurt she had a shoulder injury that she wasnā€™t being specific about but she says it was really hampering her and so I got ahead of that with plays sorry that the show wasnā€™t on during the week um but this morning she did in fact pull out so some of those plays are informed by that injury which resulted in the withdrawal this morning letā€™s talk some more baseball uh Mark borchard joins us Mark I just want to show the uh the final June stats you and I were talking off air mark borchard comes to us from an undisclosed location courtesy the progressive guest line the Astros win the most on uh most wins in the month of June at 17 and8 they tie with the Orioles at 17 and 12 first tie breaker at Circa was fewest losses so the Astros went out right at Circa Dead Heat with the Orioles at William Hill Caesars the Mets at 16-8 they played the fewest games in the month of June Dodgers 16 and 10 all of those run differentials within three runs of each other look at those all plus 40 and plus 41s and plus 42s and plus 43s then the Brewers 1611 Diamondback 1611 with a negative run differential by the way and the Cardinals at 16 and 12 also with a negative run differential what a month uh Mark we finally got one yeah I think that youā€™re ahead of the curve though as far as playing these uh go because you know youā€™re taking out the variance on on like a day-to-day basis and I was really amazed you know weā€™re pretty close to the Sun Gil wouldnā€™t you say here yes doing this for for a hundred years and like today like the people who Iā€™m close to in this industry uh weā€™re just up all up in arms thereā€™s only three games on the card and itā€™s like you know it itā€™s itā€™s maybe weā€™re spending too much time handicapping the daily card when thereā€™s like what youā€™ve done over the last three months really good plays in front of our face and and youā€™ve and Youā€™ youā€™ve happened to be successful uh with him just from a profit standpoint but from a just from a probability standpoint for me at least you know running Monte Carlo simulations and doing this for such a long time I just think theyā€™re better plays you just cut out so much variance but uh congratulations handicapping prowess Gil being able to to and and I think that itā€™s interesting like how you model it like Iā€™m sure youā€™re doing component ratings and then looking at the schedule and that sort of thing but in all honesty did you did you have Kyle Tucker getting injured in your model so so like so but but but but and they were able to and I think that the Universe kind of like the karma was good for you because in all honesty I think you should have lost this bet but won the first one with the Cleveland Indians that was a really good call uh only because not not a bad not a bad handicap great handicap with with the Astros Iā€™m with you yeah there was I agreed to all there was a world in which we could have won all of these we probably could have won all thereā€™s we probably should have won one and three I think could have won two uh if they hadnā€™t gone the Guardians hadnā€™t gone two and five against the white sock and Rockies anyway itā€™s been 90 days of awesome just sweat for all of it and it it really does take out the the variance and that is the key to it all um itā€™s about sustainability what teams are performing that are unsustainable itā€™s itā€™s itā€™s just good on these shops for putting out these markets I feel like we have drawn more people into baseball than anything that like major league baseball themselves has tried to do to draw in people right itā€™s like the power of betting and the power additionally of these specific markets have just been awesome let me just ask you this per your numbers You and I by the way we got to do a Q2 pod this week we down you down to do it yes we got to do that so let me let me just do this here on the radio show which is give me per your numbers what team right now is round the midseason Bend if you will with the All-Star break two weeks away what team is the do you have as the most undervalued in terms of their performance Visa your numbers and whatā€™s the most overvalued generally as far as far as like well thereā€™s some value in the market still with this Astros team like theyā€™re still plus 160 to win that division theyā€™re only three and a half games out and I think that theyā€™re theyā€™re Iā€™m by my numbers by my simulations I think that theyā€™re the favorite to win that minus 135 is how I have that division price so I think thatā€™s a good one I like Baltimore as well uh you want to talk about favorites in a division Iā€™ve got Baltimore winning that division minus uh theyā€™re at 64% which is minus 178 you can still get plus money on that and it just for me logically I think that that offense is better uh the Baltimore offense than the Yankees I mean the Yankees have two players that are probably arguably the best players in the league but after that it kind of drops off right and uh I I think that the bullpen for that that Orioles team way better than than the Yankees and thatā€™s thatā€™s included there so two teams right there just to win the division for me I think are are are pretty pretty good plays uh one of the other things and I was kind of down and I I wanted to bring this up because I was down to begin the season on the Padreā€™s but now I think the Padreā€™s are are a really good value uh to to make the playoffs I think thatā€™s a good play too Gil only three games today as you mentioned you have a play in any of them you know what I did is I I I played a couple series plays Iā€™ve been doing more these series plays lately and and I played the uh the Mets minus 125 and with the Brewers M minus 220 in a parley you can actually parley these in some places and uh that plays plus 165 uh and so well you got to be able to kind of kind of handicap the the day after the game and then three three games in advance and so Iā€™m able to do that which is cool and so I want to take advantage of that you got to pay a little bit more of a price in the market uh but I think itā€™s worth it to get to get a little bit less variance uh but the the the the one thing I wanted to bring up Gil please is the Washington Nationals have a picture called d DJ hers and every time I see that that guy name come up I I think of the song hey Mr DJ and this I didnā€™t bring this up before the show Gil who sang the song hey Mr DJ uh that was Jan wasnā€™t it oh I knew you would get it I knew it I knew it it was a youā€™re youā€™re absolutely right Gil and so I think of hey Mr DJ and then I I also think of you too so I want everybody thatā€™s listening to the show when they see DJ Herz to think of a numbers game and think of Gil because thatā€™s what I do what what it up funny how how how your mind works the brain works weird thank you for bringing up Jade a Duo R&B Duo from the early 90s nothing better than ā€™90s R&B Mark nothing better thank you brother absolutely y congratulations on your bet thatā€™s cool Iā€™m glad glad you got that one honestly as corny as it sounds I congratulations to all cuz so many people wrode this and Iā€™m just so pumped for everybody that they they kept with it and so thereā€™s a lesson in that which weā€™ll get to on the other side thank you Mark appreciate it golf tennis more baseball July wins coming up a numbers game on VN the sports betting Network hey donā€™t forget to check out our website vn.com Best Bets betting splits exclusive articles odds by state betting tool fools betting Gods itā€™s all there all there at vison by the way on the front page today Zachary going all over the place with his Wimbledon plays womenā€™s and menā€™s um heā€™s Zack Cohen has just taken up all the real estate at von.com this morning on the front page come on Zach give somebody else a chance there must be some writers on vacation too Gil uh Steve mckinon is there with college football recruiting rankings Matt y early looking college basketball Futures Adam Burke as always with great stuff um Mike smich creating your own NFL power ratings for handicapping oh thatā€™s good thatā€™s a nice one I started reading that uh I think last week a little bit it was a good little write up by vn.com check it out thatā€™s real good stuff everything you possibly want by the way the other big thing about um yesterday was I promised on Twitter somebody asked me will you reveal the name of the sushi restaurant if this happens this was during the rain delay when did you do this by the way this was on this was on Twitter yesterday in the middle of the rain delay just on Twitter yesterday just on Twitter okay sometime after you asked me if I was watching the rocket mortgage leaderboard and I was like yes I will he asked specifically will you do it at bet bash and I said I will do it during b bash week I do it sorry weā€™ll reveal the name of the sushi place uh people have been so so kind on Twitter at beating the book I am I like super humbled by it um Kelly and I have such a great time every morning by the way let me just say also that Kelly has made this just a blast for me on an everyday basis in a way that uh it never has been before uh but people are so nice Iā€™m just going to read something thereā€™s no way I can read all because thereā€™s hundreds of these um but JD emans our buddy JD emons from Alabama he says youā€™re making such great calls on these monthly bets baseball is such a great sport but the season is such a grind love these month-long bets no way youā€™re not betting July LOL there is no way Iā€™m not betting it um I will be revealing that here later in the show PD pay1 amazing show content listen to yourself and Kelly on my everyday walks finally a serious gambling show with advice and info not just picks with no data to back them up keep up the good work thank you sir uh thatā€™s very nice of you to say um Michael at Mike cam 4561 your monthly bets are quite the adventure great job weā€™ve got to get lucky eventually and here we did thanks for taking along the ride I love all of your shows and podcast thank you so much um that is very nice of you this is from game time Jones I have had zero action on any of your monthly bets Iā€™m in California but Iā€™ve had a rooting interest and find myself checking standings each time such fun bets to follow thank you that is also really nice uh i y AO ya I donā€™t know how to pronounce that 69 I have fully enjoyed the tracking of your pick skills since MLB had started I have zero options in Washington state for most wins your sweat is not only mine but many listeners of a numbers game Army looking forward to see what you pick for July um weā€™ll read through more of these uh one more dale dale J mki Gil thanks youā€™re such a joy to listen to every morning have a much better understanding of the numbers because of your show how nice are people um and I just want to I want to shout out Dave Ross and will Hill they were kind enough to have me on um a the look ahead last night and they asked a few questions and these are these are they were interesting questions Iā€™ll get to the the last one which I think is the most interesting from a gambling standpoint but one of them was Will was like what do you think youā€™ll remember like years from now about this whole thing I said Iā€™ll remember the loss the one out loss in March April more than Iā€™ll remember the win without question and thatā€™s just how our brain minds work because this ends up winning me more than May would have but still less than March April would have um still a nice hle yes yeah um but and Dave also asked do does this make up for it does do the gambling gods are you now even with the gambling Gods because of this and I said we were at at the Mets minus 720 in that Extra Inning I get it the Astros are left for dead does it completely make up for it no but Iā€™m super grateful that we got a w I also donā€™t know I I I donā€™t remember what we what uh what we discussed in uh May no what was it April May and then June right yeah March April March April then may I donā€™t remember what we discussed in May but the Guardians early you were betting every day have you done that every have you done that all three months not the first month I did it every every time with the Guardians in May yeah yeah towards the end May toward the towards the end of March April I started betting them every day not at the very beginning but towards the end of March April then all of May and then the Astros all of June I mean itā€™s been an unbelievable baseball season but but you know I said we there was a world where we could have won all three there was a world we should have probably won two there was also a world where we lost all three right and so will will asked the best question last night I think well Daveā€™s questions were great too but will asked I think the most point one which is what did this whatā€™s the lesson what did this whatā€™s the big takeaway from all of this and I think thatā€™s the best question because for new gamblers or people who are newish to gambling the process matters so much more than the result and I know itā€™s a win loss results oriented thing Iā€™m not saying the result doesnā€™t matter because ultimately the results are how you get graded on all this and itā€™s itā€™s your bank account at your bottom line but from just a mental approach standpoint to it if the like we could have easily packed it in after March April and just been like that was the worst Soul crushing beat ever thereā€™s no way you can come back from that but if your process and whatever you does weā€™re just talking about monthly bets in baseball if yours happens to be golf if yours happens to be football if yours happens to be certain markets within those Sports if your process is good your ability to overcome negative variant the degree to which you can do that in sports betting is going to go longer than almost anything towards your ultimate success or not if you keep knocking at the door right the results will come itā€™s like a poer player skill can only take you to the you know can get you to the finish line but at the end you do need things to break your way and so I think thatā€™s the biggest lesson in all that is that process ultimately is the most important thing here and um again to the extent youā€™re able to overcome negative variant and just eat those bad beats and recogn itā€™s just a part of doing business and you will have to develop scar tissue for it Iā€™m not suggesting that that you get that the first time right itā€™s difficult even for the most veteran better but I think thatā€™s thatā€™s the biggest takea away from all of it for me anyway thought that was a good question now what about that rocket mortgage leaderboard what was it that you wanted to uh wasnā€™t anything really big to talk about today it was just the it was all all the guys yesterday scattered throughout it or all the all the uh dumbo that I bet all the time that never never win and they were all just trying trying to choke the uh choke the thing away to each other so explain how did it go Cameron Davis ends up winning good good on him Iā€™ve bet him enough uh thatā€™s for sure you bet him here uh no I did not bet him no I didnā€™t bet I didnā€™t bet golf at all you took a vacation I took a week off golf so it was uh it was good mental reset wow you really believe Matt Brown had Davis Thompson and didnā€™t end up finishing T2 uh Aaron Ry I probably would have bet he finished T2 there was I me like he should have won it AE batia uh what he had three putt on 18 to lose the thing like it should have at least gone to a play play off between baa and Cam Davis uh he three puted on and bogy to lose the thing to Cam Davis who was already in clubhouse so yeah batia Aaron Ry Cam Davis guy cam I mean Cameron young oh boy I mean this guy we weā€™ve talked about the him not having won yet and all these second place finishes heā€™s racked up I mean it was a T10 yesterday he was four shots off the F three shots off the lead uh man if you were watching that at all yesterday though he was he was going nuclear out he was missing short putts and I think for the final six holes he was just cussing himself out the entire time oh my God it was getting really trust him ever to make a bet on him ever again um I never want to say ever again but you like I think when you when you see something like that yesterday you got to be like all right I got to back off this guy at least from an outright perspective you got to back off for a little bit and see them get their mind straight it itā€™s it depends golfer to golfer right like thatā€™s something is that yesterday that I would read into what happened when we when we saw Xander come up just short of Sheffer early you know in the Masters like there was nothing to me there was nothing with with him that I was worried about going forward because weā€™ve seen shle weā€™ve seen shafley lose things so closely so many times before that Iā€™m like I donā€™t really care about shav heā€™s used to this but I Cameron young that itā€™s gotten to him clearly he is it istic didnā€™t batia also admit that like he got nervous like the the nerves got to him afterwards didnā€™t catch po post uh post round stuff but but stuff from last week he was talk he did he was talking about that last week cuz he was in the mix last week but he was talking about how much he loves that like he feeds off the pressure but he gets nervous and stuff like that and then he three butts this on the heels of Rory gaking away the US Open yeah so thatā€™s just amazing to me and itā€™s not of course itā€™s not you know no oneā€™s trying to tackle you you donā€™t have to do like a you know lunge for a ball in tennis and be athletic I mean itā€™s athletic to a point right but you itā€™s literally you a sticking a ball I mean Cameron Davis hit the shot on what was it 17 I think is the part five I it was great went in the water um and that was one where I was I didnā€™t think he was going to be able to recover all these guys could they couldnā€™t make a shot though nobody could hit a shot yesterday I mean he wins an 18 under I think it was like at the turn where everybodyā€™s like like 21 22 is probably going to get home and itā€™s like no no no nobody can make a putt nobody nobody could find a fairway it was incredible I saw not a second of it it it itā€™s a good example though of when we talk if you ever listen to long shots and talk we talk about win equity and some of these guys that can go out there and actually win a golf tournament and now how valuable that is yes this is an example I mean Cam Davis heā€™s got two wins on the PGA tour now theyā€™ve both come at this same turn Cory Conor same thing like there are couple of these guys you talk about this with Aon Ry still looking for that first one out of the PGA Tour I thought M will Lee was GNA get his yesterday he had his his he had his mistakes but T has picked up a couple wins I donā€™t want to put uh you know knock him too much but that was a bad 18 let call Long Shots Golf podcast best in the world Wimbledon Futures next a numbers game on V the sports betting Network make this NFL season your best ever months two more months baby letā€™s go uh we get tweets at beating the book these are again all all about the uh the Astros uh Mr H talking about the the monthly bets a monthly tradition unlike any other uh this is from Frank from Seven Hills honored to be part of this letā€™s go this is from JD youā€™re single-handedly raising o MLP television num the Rangers owes meaningless game might have gotten the best numbers of the year uh itā€™s literally impossible for it to be this wild and youā€™ve done it for two or three months wow thank you thatā€™s very nice of you uh Gary Gibson Iā€™ve never actively checked box scores on bets Iā€™ve had no part of as much as I have the past couple months amazing stuff here Gil thank you this is [Music] from this is from uh from Ray Pierce youā€™ve had the best pick now three straight times this incredible run regardless of what happens I didnā€™t tell you this month because I went from 7 to1 When You released it to 11 to1 oh it went from 17 to1 to 11 to1 I was too cool for school to take it dunce well I donā€™t if I would have taken 11 to1 either by the way um and Mark Hansen congratulations to Gil on your continued success in monthly and baseballā€™s great content for loyal listeners to follow um I appreciate that very much and this is from uh Matthew snik Gil I really thought the spirit of Mike bovich and the yor massacre Todd wish as phrase we going to play in again especially during that whole rain delay sending in early mazeltov uh thank you very much for that we go on and on but everybodyā€™s super nice with this um by the way Wimbledon Futures uh if you missed it this morning Arena sabalenka pulls out of the tournament she had given a press conference I want to say it was Friday or Saturday jrod was the one who pointed it out to me on Twitter jrod is great at at letting me know some of the tennis breaking news where Sabal Lanka in her press conference was like somethingā€™s wrong with my shoulder and she used the phrase a an injury that is not normal for tennis players and what I took that to mean was I was like oh I think this is a baseball like injury like I think this is like a rotator cuff I donā€™t know if you know this but if youā€™re serving a tennis ball you kind of need the shoulder to be okay and thatā€™s like a strength of her game so she announced this morning she withdrew but on that press conference news I ended up betting Dar uh Darius cassad Kina to get to the finals sheā€™s on that half of the bracket sheā€™s on the sabalenka half of the bracket Daria casadina 22 to1 get to the final and I also bet a couple final matchups eaga to play car cassad Kina in the final at 100 to1 eager to play Madison Keys in the final at 40 to1 those added to the plays that I already had which was EA to win it outright on the L side at 4 to1 and then some EA caritos and EA CER parlays 7 to1 and8 Up and plus 850 respectively to uh win across the menā€™s and the ladies side so those are all the wimbledonā€™s Futures but those ones that I made over the weekend largely informed by the sabalenka injury news and then what eventually became with the withdrawal this morning Iā€™m sorry for the uh the past post on that but it happened during the weekend and we donā€™t have our shows but thatā€™s what I bet this weekend and uh Fela Will hill and I were betting a whole bunch of these because of that sapala news conference um basketball of course in the middle of free agency and the big news happened I want to say at 12 12:30 a.m. hour time in the middle of the night last night I like an old man fell asleep on the couch and woke up to my phone buzzing about this uh Paul George who had announced earlier in the day had told the Clippers Iā€™m Iā€™m out of here uh he ends up signing with the Philadelphia 76ers and he does these basketball numbers man Kelly these are Iā€™m always trip out by these four years $212 million Iā€™ll do the math thatā€™s 53 million a year uh max deal with the Sixers to join Joel em be and Tyrese Maxi for yet another big three oh those all was work out oh oh they donā€™t um but this on paper anyway looks like a pretty solid Squad and who knows does clay end up there as well um Kelly I ask you the Celtics are the short shot in the East where do the Sixers fall now oh thatā€™s a good call um yeah I will I will say real quick the the one the one difference I guess a littleit of this big three is like this is this one makes sense this is almost like video game mode where you got to clear basically the entire roster and like start over it was like weā€™re going to start with these three and then weā€™ll piece it together from there uh Maxi just signed an extension this morning so you know youā€™ll have him going forward as well uh close to a quarter bill for him you know no no big deal most you win most improved player one year and then a quarter billion dollars goes into your bank account bill thatā€™s awesome um all right where do the 76ers fall in the East um definitely not second as as their 4 to1 would uh suggest the who the Bucks youā€™ve got right now Celtics plus 150 uh Sixers plus 400 Nicks plus 450 B bucks plus 600 and then you drop down to the heat at 19 to1 no but I mean whoā€™s second for you then Nicks uh Nicks right now um Iā€™m not sure that I would have the 76ers above the Milwaukee Bucks even so even acquiring Paul George you still have them fourth yeah I just donā€™t know like I donā€™t know what weā€™re supposed to like youā€™re okay wait thereā€™s a lot of discussion going into this off season of would you surround Joel embiid with guys like Paul George wh which should complement Joel embiidā€™s game well or do you need to start thinking about the future and complementing what tyres Maxi does better and that would be more of an uptempo offense with which obviously with Joel embiid there it gets a little wonky so I I I just donā€™t know yes this is look if youā€™re a Sixers fan out there yes your team is better itā€™s going to be better than what it was a year ago um I would think youā€™re basically replaced Tobias Harris with Paul George yes thatā€™s an upgrade I canā€™t sit here and say thatā€™s not an upgrade um but what do we see that Joel and be in the playoffs man like Iā€™m there with Joel embi in the playoffs and the injuries like the injuries this is I mean as weā€™re having this conversation thatā€™s all Iā€™m thinking about right um a knee a face yes you know like whatever you can imagine Joel embiid has had this so you just and heā€™s what is he 30 now heā€™s 30 so you know at some point right at his size that has an age curve correct that is perhaps an earlier age curve if you will than someone whoā€™s a guarder forward just historically speaking uh weā€™ve seen it with his injuries that we would absolutely believe that of him so thatā€™s always the cautionary thing with the Sixers is all right and letā€™s say they get clay too if that if that you know tickles your fancy uh Clay is obviously not the player he once was is that enough for you to make a bet on knowing that embiid always breaks down in some fashion and I donā€™t think you can responsibly right no you canā€™t you canā€™t um not not not for me at least uh and look Iā€™ll keep putting yeah I donā€™t know thereā€™s probably a lot of people out there listening laughing Iā€™ll keep putting the Bucks up there they they theyā€™ll have to do some things this offseason Gil but youā€™re still telling me you got two of the top players in the NBA like I I still think there is a way that you turn youā€™re able to turn some things around and that be a competitive team next year Chris Middleton uh should be healthy for the entirety of the Season unlike he was last year I think thatā€™s a big deal out east um Western Conference this is getting interesting I like the Clippers thereā€™s a couple of these teams youā€™re just left with it today like what is our buddy jvt jbt do now with his Clippers I donā€™t know so I was I was going to SP what do we always say about the NFL right in in the NBA is not far off from this whereā€™s the worst possible place you could be in the NFL guil well we said a 500 team right the middle the NBA was really who we said it about first like if you go 40 and 42 youā€™re in purgatory okay so so the Clippers lose Paul George yeah they bring back James Harden on this horrible contract in my opinion I two years 70 mil yeah you donā€™t really have much else the whole point of getting rid of Paul George is because they cannot afford this whole youā€™re going to keep if you havenā€™t heard a million times already youā€™re going to keep hearing about this second apron stuff thatā€™s built into the salary cap uh uh now and itā€™s it is testing owners you are seeing some of the owners get tested with how much money they really want to go out and spend thereā€™s been a couple of the key situations that you I I think itā€™s going to be the overwhelming storyline of this this yearā€™s free agency is how how much owners are now being like okay we we canā€™t we canā€™t go that far as far as paying some of these guys thatā€™s why youā€™re hearing LeBron James talk about having possibly taking a pay cut which I donā€™t think is going to end up happening um but you didnā€™t the the Clippers would they wouldnā€™t pay Paul George and now um I I I mean if you there were times last year Gil where you could have said through a a stretch of five six weeks of the NBA regular season the Clippers were the best team in the NBA no matter how you want to think about them after the season looking back maybe they werenā€™t that good there was a stretch where they were the best team in the NBA now going into next season okay itā€™s a western conference where youā€™re talking about youā€™re the five 6 S8 seed something like that and who wants to be at that point in the NBA remember how this happened kawh Leonard wouldnā€™t come to the Clippers unless they just paid out of their you know what to get Paul George and Paul George ended up costing him Shay gilis Alexander yep near MVP Jaylen Williams four first round picks heā€™s one of them a first round that was protected in two first round swaps good God soccer USA playing tonight for their lives D cup is next this is V the sports betting Network we are a network of
